stewartlittle
I am using dell. I have previously used Acer and HP. I don't know what you think but I am satisfied with dell. They are fulfilling all my requirement in terms of cost and specification.
DubNDodge
I dont have my hp anymore but it was a model that they release and most of that line it had some issues on the motherboard. I call them up and it was to expensive to just replace the motherboard. That was my experience with them. I will never buy hp ever again. I believe that was their compaq line, and yes it was complete garbage. The two brands I will never buy from (seen too many bad things with them firsthand) dell and gateway. I would reccomend HP, Toshiba, Vizio, Acer. I have used all those and they are very fast and have minimal issues. Most laptops/computers are the same now a days as long as the specs of them are the same. I agree with OP I will never own an apple computer until they fix their compatibility problems. DR.TINGTING!!!
If you don't have anything against Lenovo check out the T430. I've been around ThinkPads all my life and have seen all of them last a really long time. The only real down side is you'll have to customize one to get things like bluetooth and a backlit keyboard.
