Ryan929 Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 I have heard that the sundown sa 12s are made more for a ported box and being that i only have a single cab truck i dont have enough room for a ported box, so i was just wondering if anyone knew how they would sound in a sealed box or how that would work? Also i would be running them off of a hifonics bxi 2010d if that helps any. Thanks
Sonic Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Ported or another sub designed for a sealed enclosure like the fi Q with the high qts option.
Ryan929 Posted September 1, 2012 Author Report Posted September 1, 2012 so these would be no good? Because i found a pretty good deal on a pair and really wanted them. What exactly would i be losing sound wise if i went with these over the fi Q with the high qts option?
Guest Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 sealed will work fine. so will ported.
Watch the bass Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Normaly a sealed enclosure sounds more sq than ported. If i remember right, SA sub´s are ready to be used ported or sealed. The normal SA customer want to squeeze out the most dB´zzz, so they build porte enclosures, i never read something that they are bad in sealed enclosures.
