OrionStang
Thinking of building my own home setup and have no knowledge of home receivers and amps.Is this Pioneer any good? http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=250-630 I have 4 Goldwood 6.5's (90watts; 50-6k freq range) and two AA Assassin 10's(250rms). 1. Should I add tweeters, or find mids with more of a full range? 2. Can somebody suggest a good amp to use for the subs? 3. Also need suggestions on a DVD/Blueray/CD player. OrionStang
Both are nice. The Onkyo is 7.2 and the Denon is 7.1, what's the difference there? SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

b-dubs89
i have thought yamaha makes some ok poor man's ht receivers . i currently have a marantz sr 5005 it will do dual zone and source or 130 wattx7 for 7.1 , it was a refurb off ebay for about $550ish i have been very happy with it so far . not sure if i would try to run car subs on just any av receiver ? i have done it with yamaha and learned elsewhere that yamaha receivers is good for low impedance . my advice for you wanting get a set up going for home is to mate the subs you have with some cerwin vega mids and highs . and get a good amp push them , like a qsc or crown .
