Daniel Shepard Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 got a 68 vw bug and want to put two ma-8 skar 8"s in the rear cargo area. This is what I figured up on sizes. At .75 wood thickness I came up with 3.14 cubic feet before displacement. These dimentions are EXTERNAL. Can someone double check me? Also I need help figuring out the port, size and displacement being that the top is angle slightly. I want a slot port firing up tuned to 33-34hrz, subs inverted. I can shrink the length if need be but everything else needs to stay the same. Weird shapes throw me off, Any help is appriciated!

john253a Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 not my first choise of box, i would have done a common chamber box
john253a Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 and if you want a low tune no problem i can modify the drawing to suit
Daniel Shepard Posted September 3, 2012 Author Report Posted September 3, 2012 I want a common chamber box.
Guest Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 with an angled baffle, you cant bend the slot port if you put the port on the front of the box. which will not really allow you to tune lower.
