Bass_Head_94 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I'm in the process of getting a dual 12" 3 cft box built for my pioneer champion pro's tuned to 32 Hz. So, does anyone know if a 3 cft box will fit in a 2009 corolla? Also is 3 cft too big for these subs?

So, does anyone know if a 3 cft box will fit in a 2009 corolla? Also is 3 cft too big for these subs? A 3 cubes net enclosure for two 3002s can be ok on rated power BUT you need to measure the box and the vehicle to see if it fits since there are many ways to build a 3 cubic feet box.
jbiddle.com Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 is it 3 cubes each or 3 cubes for the pair Head Unit -- Alpine CDA-9887 Mids and highs -- 2 Crescendo PWX-8's 4 Crescendo PWX-6's 4 Crescendo FT-1 Super tweeters Mids and Highs amps -- 2 Alpine V12 MRV-F545 Subs -- TBD Sub amp -- Crescendo Bass Cleff BC2000. Sub Box -- Ported box 9 cubic foot tuned to 37hz for 2 15 with 140 inch port area Processor - Alpine imprint
412 CVX Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Does the builder know the dimensions of your trunk?? Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
Bass_Head_94 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Report Posted September 3, 2012 3 cubes each. Is that going to be a huge box
jbiddle.com Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 yeah its gonna be a pretty big box unless your using aero ports instead of slot ports. aero ports will help keep the size down Head Unit -- Alpine CDA-9887 Mids and highs -- 2 Crescendo PWX-8's 4 Crescendo PWX-6's 4 Crescendo FT-1 Super tweeters Mids and Highs amps -- 2 Alpine V12 MRV-F545 Subs -- TBD Sub amp -- Crescendo Bass Cleff BC2000. Bass_Head_94 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Report Posted September 3, 2012 Does the builder know the dimensions of your trunk?? No. I was told to measure to trunk, but I'm not too savvy with measurements. I was hoping someone here had the same car.
Bass_Head_94 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Report Posted September 3, 2012 is it 3 cubes each or 3 cubes for the pair I was planning on 3 cft each
412 CVX Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 The whole point of having a custom built enclosure is for it to match your subs AND your car. I don't see how the person building the box can create something to fit your car without the measurements of your trunk. The mentality of this whole process baffles me. How hard is it to measure the width between the wheel wells, the depth from the top of the seat to the back of the trunk, and the height from the bottom of the trunk to the top? I can understand why you wouldn't catch the importance of this, since you're new; but i don't see how someone with enough experience to design and build a subwoofer enclosure can let something so crucial go unanswered. will77530 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 try and get the guy to take the measurements that way if it doesnt fit its on him not you
