Lbox88
you need better wiring. big 3 in 0 gauge OFC!! make sure your engine grounds are good!! ^ Yep, make sure you do the big 3 first and take out the capacitor, it's doing more harm than good in your setup. Noel989
How big is your capacitor? Try running it without the cap Build Log - http://www.stevemead...-cruiser-el-pt/
rockFord_Expedition
Do your big 3. Watch a few videos to see it done different ways, some are better than others. Do it in 0ga. Basically, what ^ he said. Doesn't sound like your electrical is strong enough to carry a cap either. Lbox88
buy 1/0 AWG wire by the foot with ring terminals, and cut a length for a. alt+ to batt+ b. Batt- to engine bolt, like an alternator mounting bolt c. batt- to frame, strut tower is easier for some people to get to solder the ring terminals on the end of the wire and bolt them down. You have to be willing to do lots of research. Run 0ga wherever you can, but definitely for your big 3. Your battery should be grounded to the frame and to the engine. Also run 0ga from alternator positive to battery positive. I recommend fusing this wire but not everyone will, it's just an extra safety measure. Lbox88
again, get rid of the cap, and I suggest you pic up a volt meter so you can see how far you drop. If you need a really cheap one, I've had good luck with this one http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_38984_Xscorpion-DVM3RB.html the refresh rate is fast but it's better than nothing and pretty accurate for the cost.
