Round ports should in theory be the most efficient of all shapes. They have the lowest internal port surface area of any shape you can make. This means that there is less resistance to air flow due to friction against the inside of the port...with that being said, with a well designed and smoothed-out port you probably could not hear the difference between a round port and square or rectangle or something with the same specs otherwise

Port noise was one thing I was concerned with. Sealed boxes are soooo much easier but lacking on output in some cases. In a daily setup dose it matter that much on the inside of the port? What are some ways of making sure to reduce the friction inside of a port.

Daily i wouldn't be concerned about the port surface friction much assuming its not just super gnarly lol. In my wall I gained .3 going from raw wood to sanded resin, it was not noticeable to the ear though imo. Ive also seen people paint and sand and wax their ports to make them smooth, again i probably would never go that far on a daily box though that i didn't care about numbers with.

No sir it'll be in the back of the burb. I was just asking if it mattered on the shape sir. I am actually going to do removable port to get the best response as possible for me .

Yea I won't be worrying about numbers just playing. Well for now I know it's only a matter of time. Nothing is better than trial and error with some knowledge from those who know more. If you listen anyway.

Yes sir. The next vehicle is green light for me only then that will be a different story lol. I'll probably just go with removable port to tune it and a lighted plexi window.

Did you know if you put funkypups in a sealed box, they would automatically blow out their own port.
