Noob_On_Droid Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 I've had numerous people complimet the sound of my DC Port. It may lack in efficiency, but it is not audible. With power, it is also competing against much more SPL designed setups and not disappointing. Sorry for bumping an older thread -Drew
leonkennedy Posted April 18, 2017 Report Posted April 18, 2017 bumping this old thread , not sorry when trying to lower the tune of my box i made something like an inefficient venturi by combining a slot port with a flare port stacking ( 3 ) 22.5° miter cut 2x4's for the top and bottom ( total of 6 ) of the port for a gradual decrease then a gradual increase in the port made for a nice deep sound that flattened the response being tuned at 29 but peaking in the 40's changed to 24 hz but much broader and with a new extended range sorry i dont have a box rise measurement and this is all pretty much anecdotal tldr this neat port is roughly 13.5'' at the opening then gets smaller , like 10'' then gets bigger again and sounds dope A.F.
