sundownz
The molds completed a few days ago and the first samples rolled out -- here are a few of the first look photos from our basket manufacturing company! I am super excited about the potential these will bring to out larger woofers. Once our new spiders, cones, surrounds, and spacers are all tooled we can really show off what these are capable of -- those parts should have completed samples as well soon too. These things carry some serious heft... the base plate that bolts to the motor is 9mm thick un-painted compared to 5mm on most 4 and 12-spokes and 8mm on the Ti-18 frames (add about 0.5mm for paint). They are the strongest frames that I am aware of ever to be produced. ----- 10" Model ----- 12" Model : ----- 15" Model : Edited September 19, 2012 by sundownz Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
CHEVY4X4BLAZER
Plenty of terminal locations huh? Quad coil capabilities?
sundownz
Plenty of terminal locations huh? Quad coil capabilities? Yep. I can also use two different style terminals and could also use an entire pair of terminals per polarity (so 6-8 leads would be a possibility on an extreme app). 2 Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]

I swear it looks like they throw em at the ground some times. On topic: will these frames bolt up to any of the previous Sundown motors? such as v1 or v2 NS or Z's?? Yes they will bolt right on to any of our 3" coil driver motors! The coil hole is also big enough for a nice 4" coil to fit in there. When we tool our 18" model some time in 2013 it will NOT bolt to any existing motors without an adapter (reasons TBA) -- but we will carry adapters.
