If i can spray it all with water, what's a decent cleaning solution for the engine? 3. What's an easy way to get rid of rust cause that shit is annoying me soooo much! 4. What do I clean the interior of my car with to prep it for sound deadener? Just paint thinner? You don't want any water going where it shouldn't given all the electronic goodies under the hood 2. Don't have an answer 3. Sand it off and paint over it. Any that you miss will sprout back up like a weed, so make sure it's all gone 4. And mine doesn't have any goo stuff, just normal disguistingness that comes with the previous owners of the car. But back in the day a mechanic friend of mine just covered my alternator and battery with a plastic lining and used a light degreaser and sprayed water like there was no tomorrow... 2. Not really sure 3. Same as snow drift.. I'd spray Permatex before painting but that's just me... 4. Nate Futuristic Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 ive cleaned engine bays with steam before just dont spray the intake/alt/anything electrical directly (i covered the alt with a plastic bag and electrical tape) make sure to do it on a hot day so it evaporates quickly engine brite is the brand i used grab a toothbrush if you want to get in the hard to reach areas (also depending on how much built up shit is on the valve covers/block you may need to rinse and repeat) use some mothers detailing shine when your done!!! water spots are ugly! if the rust is through like bad bad ( i have some in the rear wheel wells) you will need alot body work if its just surface rust sand the hell out of it till its gone i use acetone/mineral spirits for prep down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups ^^ Cant wait to swalllow Ghost's babies
