Sky Posted September 24, 2012 Author Report Posted September 24, 2012 I'd say that because that new amp looks like one of those overrated amps. Like their anarchy series... There newer series looks like there big bang ones. I wasnt planning on getting the anarchy series 99 F-150 Build Log

Skullz Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 At that price you'll want to look into something used then, cause at $300 you'll be hard pressed to get something of quality to last long in today's market. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
GND Zero Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 zed audio built some models of the older planet audio amps, not sure which ones though. Planet Audio was started in '98 and the first three series of amplifiers were designed and built by ZED (original Big Bang, P-Series and HVT). Any amplifiers built AFTER 2000 were straight China design and build. Over the last few years, Planet Audio has resorted to using the same boards as their sister company's Boss Audio & Sound Storm Labs (SSL). What once was a good quality product has turned to "me too" stack um' deep, sell em cheap style of brand. just my 2 cents worth.
Bship Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 I'd keep that bb2400.1 over getting that! Or up the budget and get a crescendo bc2k do it.... just a little more for a good amp. I have a BC2k in the wifes car, and it has been amazing. it's only like 70 more I think, and won't be a POS. jarrius Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 I would look in to http://www.soundqubed.com/AQ2200D-Amplifier_p_31.html Its probly more reliable then the one you have and the one you are looking at getting and if your budget is only $300 and you can buy a 3k or greater amp for that price i would probly stay away from it. My grandfather always says if something sounds to good to be true 9 times out of 10 it is. so yea. thats just my 2 cents take it as you wish..
