Hey guys i have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 regular cab, and really need help upgrading my mids and highs. The truck is a stick shift so i dont really see kick panels working. I have a kenwood deck and some pioneer coaxal 5.25 up front with stock back speakers. Should i replace all with coaxal and power with an amp and use my deck for tweeters? I have no idea here, please help. I am still in highschool so i wanna keep the price somewhat affordable, and i dont want to have to do any fiberglassing.

Thanks so much,

Colby

I would not do the b pillar.

Maybe get a component set and mount the tweet up on the a pillar trim.

search the for sale section there is a RF T600-2 that would be plenty of power for some bad ass components.

Are you sure that there is 5.25" drivers in the front doors ?? Not saying you're wrong in any way ... just asking

Last few dodges we worked on had 6.5" drivers in the front doors ...

Well when I bought my pioneers I was told 6.5 were too big. And I think they are. Because I have 5.25 with an adapter plate and its cutting it close. And so if I did component set and bought an amp for the front doors and tweets. What would I use the other channel on my deck for?

EDIT: Crutchfield is saying i can fit bigger if it is shallow enough.

Alright guys, I have two ideas. Please tell me if they sound ok.

Idea 1- taking my speaker outputs for highlevel inputs to power an amp with components in front and back with the tweeters on top of A and B pillar.

Idea 2- powering 4 tweeters with deck and buying an amp for the door speakers.
