zoeboi954 Posted October 3, 2012 Report Posted October 3, 2012 what size and type of wire should i connect to my sub i'm using 4 12" Fi Q on 2 crescendo bc2000d. and i've been using some speaker wire i got from an audio shop. but i wanna do this right. so what size should i use Oxygen Free Copper or Copper Clad Aluminum / should i do copper for pos+ and aluminium for neg-, or go only copper or aluminum. i'm gonna get all my wiring from knukonceptz 4 Fi Q 12s In A Prius on 4 Crescendo BC2000D?! The max the Crescendo can take is 8 gauge, so that's what I'd go with. x2. Knu 8ga is a little bigger than the standard 8ga because it's great cabling. Do your best to not have to strip off any copper to get it to fit lol. Great wire! Car: 2011 Ford Taurus SEL / Alt: DC Power 270XP (Will be here 7/17!!!) reg93f150 Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 i know some people on the TL have had better luck with 10 gauge then the 8 gauge for some reason.. i dont have any idea why but you'd be good with 8-12 gauge most likely ALL CREDIT TO XX1 FOR DC BANNER down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub
