99Eternal Posted October 3, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 3, 2012 Why the pass doesn't seem to be working correct is bugging me. Have you ran a sweep/tones to see where your cutting off? Edit- (anythin at or above 35 is worse??????..)....your not confusing the SSF with the low pass are you?? Nah the subsonic is set pretty high, can't tell exactly but I'd guess 28hz. I've spent hours adjusting the subsonic and LPF by tiny increments trying to find a good combo. I've found a good spot for the subsonic where the lows don't unload the subs but they still move good air. So the subsonic seems to be fine. But the LPF setting any higher than 35 just starts to amplify this sound quality issue it seems. I'm wondering if my HU is maybe sending a dirty signal with mixed frequencies at the same time or something. I have pretty good RCA's xscorpion quad shield. Have not done a sweep test. But it seems to have good range liek i've listened to it for 20+ hours now, it doesn't seem to miss notes ie filters cutting out the bass. 99Eternal Posted October 3, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 3, 2012 What dimensions are the box and amount of port area does the port have? http://imageshack.us/g/809/porty.jpg/ That should be the design plans there^. 42w x 29d x 20h port area I am not sure, does seem like a big port to me though, and that does kind of seem like it may be part of the issue because it seems like the subs arent moving as much air as they should, seems like maybe the box isn't allowing them to produce enough pressure. Sort of like half way to free-airing. Thanks man going to have to pick up an adapter tomorrow and ill post the results. It's really odd man some songs sound almost perfect (young dro freeze me) but some songs sound like ass, and these are all files that i listened to extensively on my old JL system Anyways. I'll let ya know what happens.
