Ed thank you, You just answered several of my questions in one step. I have seen a few 220 amp alts on the market. I just haven't spoken to enough people that have ran these alts to know what companies are reliable for that style alternator. I'm looking to swap the stingers out very soon. The alt will have to wait a few weeks. Until i can figure out who i want to get it from, and have all the funds to buy one. Thank you sir, that was extremely helpful

Why swapping the Stingers out, i want to quote Nathan from XS "Stinger batt´s are the only comparable batt´s on the market to XS batt´s. Hold them and get that

Thank you Ed. I am pulling the stingers, to put in my wife's car. I picked up three Kinetik HC1800s last night for a steal. They are not my favorite brand name but i'm limited on funds right now. I'm not sure if that will be enough batter with the NSB170? I'm running low on room. I plan to build a battery tray to replace my spare wheel well. I do have a question on alts. I would think that it would be more efficient to run one stock, and one large alt VS running one stock, and two smaller ones even if the amprage totals the same? The less alts the better i would think?

I have to do something, i did a small demo for some people last night, it will hold over 13v for about 20 seconds then its dropping, and wont come back up even with the system turned off, for at least 10-15 minutes. On top of that, i would like to run an alt that is made to produce more than 13.2 votage. My alt never sees above 13.5 except at cold start. Honda's are made to run at 13.2v. I would like to have 14+!!!! Thanks for all your help guys!

You can have the Mechman unit with an adjustable regulator and set it at 14.4v

Yes i emailed Mechman he said he could build me a 320A unit, with adjustable reg. That would include a bracket. I'm not worried about mounting ill fab a bracket. If it bolts in stock location sweet but honestly its prone to get hot where it sits from the factory. Thanks for the advice Ed. With a MLA module can they be used with stock style alts?

_{Update here: you can use an VCM module with a stock alt. The plan is to upgrade to a 270Amp alt in the second location. And set the voltage a little higher than factory for Honda. Hoping i can keep it above 14volts. In search of a VCM...will post some pics once i get it, and the new alt on. Thanks guys!}
