Focal 3-way comps.

Bose has a tendancy to greatly minimize midbass and lower vocals, so they "sound" cleaner, but at a cost of not being a good soundstage. Focal 3ways are better, will give you full warmth, etc, and prolly louder and more dynamic. The're $$$$$ but worth it. Or you can go Dynaudio comps, McIntosh comps.....

if you run factory hu/amp most bose systems are 2ohm (not 4ohm)

i have the factory bose 11 speaker system in my g8

You have to be a little more specific. What do you want to keep? What do you want to replace? What do you want to add? What are your "must haves"? What is your budget? Have you included everything in your budget, ie; equipment itself, accessories, sound deadening, power/ground/speaker wire, interconnects, installation costs, etc. What kind of music do you listen to and how loudly do you listen to it? These are some of the questions you must come to terms with before I, or anyone else for that matter, can help you.
