Im local to this, and him being fired, was confirmed to me from a reliable source (ie: I know someone that works for the greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority.) RTA has a zero tolerance policy in regards to their employees having a physical confrontation with someone, regardless of the circumstance. Also, according to their internal policy, just the driver talking smack wouldve most likely been enough to get him canned.
