I may draw up another version with wider ports and see if i can still get the tuning right. Im not going for spl just want a nice tight clean sound. This signature intentionally left blank. Is there any benefit of keeping the two woofers in their own space vs summing the ports out one big hole? What i did is design an enclosure for a single woofer and then pretty much stuck em together. And from what im learning, the wider you make the port the longer it needs to be. To get my tuning to 34ish the ports will need to be longer then what can fit in the box. CleanSierra Posted October 12, 2012 Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 Port area is not high enough for the subs you're planning on using. Doing a slot port for those subs can be tricky because its hard to get the port area up high enough and also have the right amount of airspace and port width. The successful ways to get your port area up is by folding the port and making at least one bend. Aeros may be beneficial for this build instead of a slot port. I cant get the port area up without upping the total volume of the enclusure which in turn puts the woofer way out of sundowns specs for total cubes. This is nuts.
