Daddy_
He guys I needed some idea on how big to make my box for 2 12" W7. On JL website they recommend 1.75cu. ft per woofer so a total of 3.5cu. ft. After displacement of 0.14cu. ft per woofer the box will be only 3.22cu. ft. I was thinking of going a little bit bigger. I was going to do a 4.3cu. ft and after displacement it will be 4.02cu. ft. Do you think that is to big or to small? Also I was thinking of tuning it between 34-35hertz. Can someone please advise me on the box size and tuning. I forgot about bracing LOL. Personally how big you think I should run it? its for a 2011 IS350 RWD. I haven't measured the trunk because I don't know how to measure it properly. How much cu. ft is bracing going to take at least? If 4.3cu. ft is too small I might do 4.5 or maybe 5 if it can fit. BassHead810
I would not be afraid to make it 5 cubes if you can fit it. I have my 2 12W7's over 3 cubes per sub after displacement and it really pounds and goes low. 34-35hz would be a good tuning to use for daily. Brace disp. wouldn't be much more than .25 cubes depending how much you do. You can calculate that too Heres a link to my build log for my 2 12W7's in a trunk My 150+ Trunk Build Log Current Setup2 DC XL15's Crossfire XS-8K AudioControl Epic-150Mechman 250 amp altXS D3100 under hood 2 XS D3100 in TrunkSecondSkin Sound Deadening - 120+ sq ft Damplifier Pro2012 North American Street Stock Runner-up - 150.9 on 1800 clamped watts 2013 dB Drag Street Trunk World Champion - 153.9 on 3200 clamped Watts 2013 MECA Trunk 1 World Champion - 152.8 Headrest 2013 MECA Park & Pound 2 World Champion - 130.6My youtube channel (click for Hairtricks) Team dbAddicts Team DC Audio dcsoundlab.com
