CUT BUDDY
What do u guys think about the Massive Audio P3000.1 amps? I see they are CEA Compliant so they must be up to par if they are stamped by CEA. I do find it hard to believe that they get a full 3k at 14.4v with only (1) 0guage power and (1) 0guage negative terminal with only a 200amp fuse. At the same time I know u cant always look at that. I wanted (2) fully loaded BTL 18z pushed by (2)MM4000.1Dz but I was thinking today If these p3000.1 amps really pound like they say they do; I could spring an extra $800 and get (4) fully loaded BTL 15z and (4) P3000.1s. Cuz I can get 4 p3000.1s for just $250 more in price than 2 MM4000.1ds and use the same amount of juice to run them but get about 4k rms more with 60sq" of speaker space versus 36sq" of speaker space in the same size enclosure. What yall think, any good to push a fully loaded BTL 15 really really hard? TEAM MechMan Alternators

AI James
well the 3000.1 is only 2ohm stable, its in essense 2 1500.1 internally strapped. I definitely wouldnt recommend it for a 18BTl, i have a friend whos looking at amps for the same sub, and we already went through the Massive Audio for my XXX setup . CUT BUDDY
yea, I was reading up on different amps today and I dont think that P3000.1 would be good enough either :-. I did come across the Memphis 16-MCD4KW and the Crossfire VR4000D. Those looked good but the Memphis seems kinda power hungry. The Crossfire looked good but I can get the MM4000.1D almost a whole $500 cheaper. I think my best bet is the Autotek because I can get (2) dual 1ohm BTL 18s(fully loaded) for a lil under a grand and (2) MM4000.1D for around $2k which isnt that bad considering the quality and the amount of power those are getting. The Autotek can be wired 2k rms x 2@1ohm so each voicecoil would have its own channel to itself. Im sure I can get atleast 4500rms (hopefully more) out of those 4000.1Ds each. The MM1400.1D gets 1750 at full power (14.4v). So they do get their listed wattage at 12v. TEAM MechMan Alternators

CUT BUDDY
the memphis is a piece of shit, people have had good results with the crossfire, but i havent ever messed with onelmao, yea I was trying to figure how u can get 4k rms outta a 300 amp fuse on that Memphis and the same with the Massive Audio's 3k outta a 200amp fuse. I always thought its about 90- 100amps per 1000watts rms. Hell, the orion 5000d does 2500rms with a 250amp fuse and people have gotten around 2800 out of that. I just think that Autotek is my best bet b/w that and the Crossfire because of the price but I have heard great things about the crossfire though. Its just the cheapest Ive seen it is 1400 and I can get the Autoteks for 975 TEAM MechMan Alternators
