CleanSierra Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 Is this an extended cab S-10 or regular cab? If extended I wouldn't cut at all. I'd rip the back seat and do 2 15s pointed at the sky and let em fuckin rip. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
n8ball2013 Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 10k is alot of juice still and alot of powrr to two woofers. 5k or 7.5k would be much safer .electrically youre going to be hurting withour dual alts. not sure if anyone does duals for it. you have to offset with batteries especially if yoy have hydros too THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.
CleanSierra Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 If you're doing the channel through your bed(for your axle and differential), you're losing a bunch of space, as Juiced said in the above post. It will be impossible to know what to run though without that ALL important depth measurement. I've got a close idea on height, and a close idea on width. Please look at the member Sanitarium on here. He's got a nicely designed 4th order that takes up the entire bed of his fullsize Chevy. You may be able to miniaturize the design and run something similar. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

So that's a lot of batteries. I'd be interested in seeing 2 12's on 7.5k though. Truck sounds like a good build, but going to need some serious funding for it. 2001 GMC Sierra Build. juiced Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 That sounds like a beastly build. I have a first gen that I am planning on cutting through and unless you have a camper shell, space is more limited than you would think. I've measured from the bed wall to the wheel humps 20 inches. Width is around 49 and to keep it in the bed you have to be at 14 inches. The box would go into the cab through the blow through so you can add another 4 inches or so for that.
