teamace24 Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 A friend has one and i was checking his install and it was on point with two kicker cvx 15 in a ported box running around 1000rms. Problem is it does not sound very loud inside his car like two 15's are supposed to hit. There is no opening or anything from the trunk to inside so maybe its drowning? I was thinking about cutting in to where his backseats are where his console drops down there is a gap thats closed with leather and stuff and i was thinking about making that an opening. Any ideas is this just a tough car to get loud? 1st Setup(SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 Audioque SDC2.5 15 subs8.7 cubes at 37hz build DONEAudioque 1200d (Audioque 1200d Sold, similar performance to my ap1500)Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 Mids n TweetsCerwin Vega Exl 400 4 channel Bridged(also have MTX 4004 not being used)1 Run of power Knu Fleks 4 Gauge2 Cheap stock Battery setup2nd Setup (SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 15 Kicker cvx (maybe two SA 15 in future)7 cubes net tuned at 34hzAlphasonik Old school 1600rms (ap 1500d sold GREAT Budget amp)JBL 6.5 Power Series Components, Infinity Kappa 6.5 3 ways, and 2 Kicker KS Tweets (LOUD)Cerwin vega exl4001 run knu Fleks OFC 0 gaugeBig 3 done1 Odyssey 1500, 1 optima yellow top d31

CortezDTV Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 What n8 said^^^^ I tried thu the armrest first, but you always have to have it down, thru the rear deck is the best option in thoes cars In my opionon 4th order is the only way to go in thoes trunks, because of the layout, with a simple ported box the sound never goes in the cabin..... Its the strongest trunk of any car, only car to be crash tested at 70mph SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/
teamace24 Posted October 25, 2012 Author Report Posted October 25, 2012 Yeah huge trunk but with a huge piece of metal (gas tank) blocking the subwoofer box even more to the inside as well as it being sealed from the front. So port through that little spot i talked about where the rear cup holder console drops down? Whats the best sub and port direction on this car? 1st Setup(SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 Audioque SDC2.5 15 subs8.7 cubes at 37hz build DONEAudioque 1200d (Audioque 1200d Sold, similar performance to my ap1500)Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 Mids n TweetsCerwin Vega Exl 400 4 channel Bridged(also have MTX 4004 not being used)1 Run of power Knu Fleks 4 Gauge2 Cheap stock Battery setup2nd Setup (SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 15 Kicker cvx (maybe two SA 15 in future)7 cubes net tuned at 34hzAlphasonik Old school 1600rms (ap 1500d sold GREAT Budget amp)JBL 6.5 Power Series Components, Infinity Kappa 6.5 3 ways, and 2 Kicker KS Tweets (LOUD)Cerwin vega exl4001 run knu Fleks OFC 0 gaugeBig 3 done1 Odyssey 1500, 1 optima yellow top d31
