calvin_115
I have occasionally been playing my subwoofer at mid-level volumes with the car engine off. A month ago the battery was at 12.5v with the engine off and now it's at 11.90v. With the car on it's at 13.90v. If I stop bumping my music with the car off and drive the car more often, will the battery fully charge back up to +/- 14v? It's a stock electrical system: 80Ah battery with an 140A alternator. Amplifier is approximately 900 watts. So the alternator won't fully charge the battery? SnowDrifter
A battery will take a couple hours to fully charge. Unless you drive your car for 3-4 hours at a time, the no. The alt won't fully charge the battery. But I think you might want to look into the source of the dead battery you mentioned ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
