Pretty much installed it the same way and it just doesn't seem a loud as my old car. With the old car I did have 3 layers of fatmat and had the big 3 but with the new car I didn't do the big 3 yet or have sound dead deadening on. It's a 02 grand am. Maybe just different car idk lol

Also my factory front speakers are the only ones working, rear are blown but going to be replacing them. Plus the bass sounds so much different lol
suckerfreebass Posted October 27, 2012 Report Posted October 27, 2012 the big 3 can make somewhat of a difference some amps put out more power with higher volts so you may be loosing a little power there but nothing drastic

I never experienced this and thought maybe ill be lucky and avoid it:( it found me!!! However it does sound cleaner! Everything is installed right. Grounded to strut tower, cleaned it the best I could...it is a bigger trunk.
soundstream15 Posted October 28, 2012 Author Report Posted October 28, 2012 Also the front speakers are factory and there is a moonson amp in the trunk, factory as well, also heard they are 2ohm speakers so maybe that's why it's really loud
