reg93f150 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 ive got 2 12 pioneer premiers i had with two weaker amps and hit i think 150db could be off by one or two db, and factory interiors. i figured sealed would be the way to go. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm seems legit? who needs a term lab when you hear your ears, am i right? ALL CREDIT TO XX1 FOR DC BANNER down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub
DGross Posted October 31, 2012 Author Report Posted October 31, 2012 i have never personally built a box, but i have all tools but a router, i have a guy that could build me one just was unsure if i should downsize my subs or if i can keep the ones i have. i have had and installed systems for years but, never in a pickup. usually suv's or cars with large trunks. I know what i want to use for sound deadening. got to do a lot of wiring for the interiors because its the cheap factory system. I just want the subs to hit right and not waste any money. im already rebuilding a nova. so i guess u can say im on a budget, but i will do what i have to to make it sound right

DGross Posted October 31, 2012 Author Report Posted October 31, 2012 I used to have this in my truck (05 but very similar to 03). Everything was still completely functional and you couldn't see it with the seats down. i like this nice and neat

Everything was still completely functional and you couldn't see it with the seats down. i like this nice and neat Those were 10's in a sealed box that was barely big enough for them . I don't realistically see you being able to get two 12's under there. My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
Chris Hammer Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 How much room do you have behind the back of the seats. We are making a box right now for 2-8's in my friends Silverado crewcab. If you had just 2-3 inches more you could fit VVX-8's or MA-8s. We managed to get 1.2ft cubed after displacements and tuned to 32hz. Wont do any 150's haha maybe a 120 is more realistic...but it should sound pretty good while doing it and kill his stock system. Would something like this be an option for you? Looks like its touching but the subs wont touch even at full excursion. Ported out either side with 2 1/2 inch ports.
