Mha
I just bought a used yamaha receiver on ebay for my tv. I got the v2400 wich does 125watts times 7channels. What are good bang for buck surround sound speakers. And what about a good cheap sub? The sub needes to be self powered doesnt it? Im new to any kind of surround sound system. Thanks
CHEVY4X4BLAZER
You can look for a powered sub. If you want a new project, build your own HT sub enclosure using an extra woofer you already own. Then you have to buy an amplifier for it. Mha
All I have laying around is a kicker l7 15. Will a surround sound amp push it? I have looked at a few powered subs but most only do 200-300 watts. And recomendations on a cheaper amp for a sub? Ps: any one own a yamaha reciever? I looked it up and I saw an article about how they can play at low ohm loads? As low as 3.4 I belive I read. Any truth? I might just look at ebay for some nice used components as speakers. Good idea or bad?
CDetty
Build an enclosure for your L7, then use this amplifier to power it. http://www.daytonaudio.com/index.php/loudspeaker-components/subwoofer-plate-amps/spa1000-1000w-subwoofer-plate-amplifier.html Just a noob's opinion. 1999 Honda Civic- RIP 2003 Acura RSX Type-S
