kingsuv Posted March 24, 2008 Author Report Posted March 24, 2008 yes i predrill them they where 1 1/4" drywall screws I wouldn't predrill the holes to mount speakers just when you screw together the box. Also don't use drywall screws, use good ol' wood screws. I use 1 5/8" Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

ChevyBoy Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 i usually do predrill my mounting holes. you DEFINITELY dont want the wood/mdf to split there. use a wood screw, or a wall dog. wall dogs are no joke. havent had a problem holding down an 18" btl yet.
