Well shit, I'm hooked now! Hurry up Monday, get here already!

I do have a question about the bracing. I understand the concept of the steel bracing, but isn't the bracing only as good as the connection? Won't the MDF with the countersunk nuts fail at some point? When you said solid steel the first thing that went through my mind was welding it to a steel panel like AMI did on his baffle. EVERYTHING looks great, please don't think I'm busting balls or anything, I just wanna learn.

Can't wait for more!

The feet on the steel bracing are lag bolted to the box, it's not going anywhere.

That bar is welded to a plate lol, the plate is bolted to the baffle in two different directions perpendicular to each other, that is the strongest bracing you could possibly have without taking up a shit ton of room inside the enclosure. The wood will break before the bar does. And distance from a leading edge to the brace points all of them is less then 10 inches in any direction. Try to break a 10 inch x 10 inch x 1.5 thick piece of mdf. Let me know how easy that is :).

That's a great point, but at the same time, the amount of pressure the subs are going to put on it, is probably a whole lot more than I can put on it. But I see what you're saying, I was just curious because of what you did with your metal backed baffle. That was all. Thanks for explaining it. Really.

My baffle has 300+ lbs on it, it was the best option to use a full plate.
