Trailblazer 2003 Front Speaker Question, **check my Recent post**

Are there clips holding it in? The speakers in my Dakota are clipped in, and also have a kind of sticky gasket that was holding them in there pretty good too. If you would feel comfortable doing it, you could just try to lightly pry them up.

in the rear doors, the speaker is mounted to a baffle, and the baffle to the door.

If you leave them you wil have retarded highs. Could leave them there for now and just unplug them.

EDIT: are the tweets mounted in a separate sail panel? on my 'nox they are so it would be easy to pop them on and off if you wanted to try them either on or off.
