I gotta do more research on the straight axle I only know of 2 swaps in 04-08 F150s and they were both no budget $50k + builds. One guy had custom build $30k alone in the two axles. ibf150 Posted May 3, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 3, 2013 Not much of an update but threw the panel in real quick just to double check things before putting in all the work that goes along with bondo etc. Everything looks good, panel didn't warp and fits just like factory. Plenty of space between the seat and the fiberglassed area. Plenty of leg room Ordering my Soundstream TN4.900D Monday so I can feed them some power.My last final is tomorrow morning, then summer break begins time to get things done for show season headers/exhaust, painted dash, painted beadlocks, tow mirrors, suede headliner finish front and back doors. Definitely not made to be used for actual off road, more of a show lift. Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year. Good to hear man, I honestly had seen zero off road pictures of a truck with their lifts and I can't find anybody running them on a Ford on the forums. Cheaper to straight axle the truck as well. ibf150 Posted May 14, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 14, 2013 Well thanks to the infamous third brake light leak the F150s have, my 4 channel amp has become a 2 channel. So amp is getting moved from behind the seat to a new amp rack under the back seat and getting a new third brake light. I just dropped a lot of cash on parts for the other toy as well Did order some SHCA products to re-wire my amps, and ordered the TN4.900 that will be here Thursday.
