zydrix Posted November 11, 2012 Report Share Posted November 11, 2012 i have been really wondering what kind of power this sub will take. i have been really contemplating selling it an getting a higher power handling sub. but i think my problem just might be im not powering this sub like it should. its 15" sub an its a dual 1 sub. so would this sub safely take a BC2000 @ 0.5ohm. i figure with some box rise it might be around 1ohm or so. an was wondering could that sub safely take that power. if so im going to keep it. it already is really loud on about 750-900 watts. an how much of a difference would i see going from about 750-900 watts to 2k. thanks guys. For the price of a proper electrical upgrade for a 1k or 2k amp to run @ .5ohm, you could get a bigger amp run safely @ 1 or 2ohm.
