Babyjuice
I have a 03 f250 v10 with the banks headers and y-pipe. Have had them on my truck for about 4 months now and ever since I've had them, they have had this hot smell to them. I can smell them when my windows are down. Is this normal? The truck has : Banks headers y-pipe K&n intake Throttle body spacer Catback exhaust with a glass pack and 3.5 inch piping. And the super chips chip running on economic. Truck runs 89 octane 75% of the time and 91 when the chip isnt on economic. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks BABYJUICE

stevensracing06
Maybe the coating on the headers?? I don't really know what that could be
Babyjuice
No they aren't dumped its a single exhaust going out before the passenger rear tire. And there is no coating its just raw metal from banks. BABYJUICE

kingsuv
I have a cat back on mine with the 50 series, and have no hot smell. The v10 does have a unique exhaust smell though. Not to mention the sound takes a little getting use too Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
