matt14
Was able to drill and tap most about half of the terminals for the bats. I think they came out pretty nice for my first time attempting to make something like this. Let me know what you all think. The last pic has the gm side post extender on it so that I can get the correct thread pitch and still use the factory side mounts 2006 GMC YukonPioneer HU SHCA ran throughout Crescendo BC3500 One 18 AA Mayhem in a 4th order ZED Levithian 6 channel Rainbow Dual 6.5 comps ran Activehttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155628-matt14s-yukon-mayhem-in-a-4th-ordernew-amps-and-bats/page-

The bolts in the pic were from my job, but dont want to take all the bulk stock of bolts for this. I used them just to make sure that they all cleared eachother 2006 GMC YukonPioneer HU SHCA ran throughout Crescendo BC3500 One 18 AA Mayhem in a 4th order ZED Levithian 6 channel Rainbow Dual 6.5 comps ran Activehttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155628-matt14s-yukon-mayhem-in-a-4th-ordernew-amps-and-bats/page-

No I do not have a pic of the ground in the rear. Its grounded straight to the frame. Is that box you got just for numbers or music and ground pownding if is for ground pownding and music can i get the specs Although I post pics of numbers and such, I build for daily and not numbers. Sorry I cant remember the specs on the box. goodvibez
Nice build here man, i like the way you did your doors...I've wanted to do the same thing to mine, looks really clean keeping them behind the grills! Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! matt14
Thanks bro, Im gonna keep them this way until maybe end of next year or even the following year. Unless I blow them, then I would have to change it up. 2006 GMC YukonPioneer HU SHCA ran throughout Crescendo BC3500 One 18 AA Mayhem in a 4th order ZED Levithian 6 channel Rainbow Dual 6.5 comps ran Activehttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155628-matt14s-yukon-mayhem-in-a-4th-ordernew-amps-and-bats/page-
704piree1
Really nice build! I have a similar SUV & a few things are the same about our setups. I have a 2003 escalade & have been making a bunch of changes recently. Im glad I ran across your build log/page (or whatever u call it), you've gave me a few good ideas about how Im going to do some things. I also have a D3400 under hood & I just added two D975s together in the passenger side (under hood also in the factory location for the 2nd batt.). The 2 975s have a little more juice than a D3400, together they're a little closer to a D3100). I have only 4000 RMS to my subs & 1000 to the mids & highs, you have a better set up, but mine still pounds hard, believe me. I had a custom sealed box made for (3) 12s to save space when I first bought the truck but it didn't satisfy me so I filled up the rest of the back with a huge ported box with a SSA Xcon 18" & added another amp to pust it. (3 12s & 1 18 actually sound great, who would've thought). Im going to eventually sell my 3 12" sub box & Im going with two 18" subs ported (low frequency) & completely re doing the back of truck. I'll probably try to sell them though & get two crescendo bc amps too, Ive had my eye on them for a while. I haven't quite decided which two 18s I want next (possibly 2 RE audio XXX18s??, IDK yet). I LOVE the SUPER low end bass in the 20-33 hz range & xxx's hit those fq great. I know its the box that counts though, Ill port it real low (25ish +/- maybe?) in a huge box, I just don't want to loose much spl by porting too low. I need to soak up some more knowledge!... Anyway, reading all the info & looking at your pics has been informative & helpful so I appreciate that. Keep up the good work & post some more pics & info on your build/set up since you last posted on this page. 2003 Escalade on 24s *Daily driver, *Not a comp set up.
