Hello all! I have been working on a video playlist on youtube where I discuss different car audio tools. Rather than make a different thread for each tool I will be using this thread to constantly update my tool reviews.

Week 1: Bojo Installer Trim Removal Tools

Week 2: Self Adjusting Wire Strippers

Week 3: Ryobi Router Table

Week 4: Thread Setter

This thing is nice!

Something I never knew existed for the longest time: a stepped drill bit. Makes it so much easier for drilling holes

NICE POST...!

:good:

A thread setter...... :trippy:

I've been looking for a way to attach items to the sheetmetal in my trunk.....rivets, threaded inserts for wood, lag bolts, jack nuts, etc.

Never heard of one of a thread-setter, but this looks very promising and not overly expensive.

I was set on using rivets which aren't too friendly when it comes to removal.

I owe you one!

Haha thanks man, yeah I must say this tool is VERY useful. Though I wouldn't recommend using it for mounting enclosures that weigh anything more than 30 pounds, it does and excellent job at securing amp racks, panels, amps, etc. and it is super easy and effective to use.

There are some car audio youtube channels that focus solely on "entertainment". I went to entertain you and teach you a thing or too! Your comment makes me feel great though thanks! I would love to see pics of your kerfing! I posted something in the kerf thread to the tunes of "if you learned to kerf because if this video post up some pics!" it would just make me really happy to see what someone else was able to accomplish because of the video!

Absolutely!

My trunk is full of curvy thin sheetmetal which makes it impossible to mount amp racks and trim panels to.

Literally nothing at right angles or smooth and I really wasn't looking forward to a bunch of rivets and/or lag bolts.

I ordered the tool and some inserts last night.

I'll try them out and definitely give you a shout-out on my build with the results.
