focas23 Posted November 16, 2012 Author Report Posted November 16, 2012 can I put the subs facing a different way because my rear deck and do u think I should use one or two amps
alaskanzx5 Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 for 2 12s i would do port and sub up so that the port has room to breath. i did a box port and subs on the same side and had it rear facing and then turned it up facing and gained a good amount of output. made it sound a lot cleaner, reduced the rattles and sounded deeper. gained a little on the meter to. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

BobbyG2 Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 He PMed me, he wants two 15" Mofo's on an BAMF 5500. I don't think there's enough space for that. I'm trying to get some more info to see if I can help. *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
BobbyG2 Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 I ended up convincing him to go with two 12's instead of 15's. He wont be able to have much more than a 4cu.ft. enclosure with adequate port area. Power Acoustic recommends 96 sq.in. of port for a pair of 12's (Damn!) But he can't fit that much port without a ridiculously high tuning, or too little airspace. He wants subs and port facing rear. He'll have at least 4" of clearance with an 18" deep enclosure. He also asked if he should go with one of two Power acoustik BAMF 5500s. I told him that one was plenty. Here's the dimensions I ended up deciding on: Could someone better than me mock this up in sketchup please? *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
