i am going to be putting in some new mids and highs in my car its on 04 chevy impala. I was think of using focal componets but not sure what all is out there and what sounds realy good. Might get some re xxx componets but i havent hurd them before or even the focal's before eather. Was putting some american bass sq-05t's in my front and rear b pillers. Just need some help for selecting some good speakers any info would be realy nice.

The focal power series and up are awesome speakers, the lower levels are not particularly special in my opinion.

That is SQ wise. What are you looking for in your mids and highs? How much power/what will you be using to power them?

The crossfire C5X6 component set is pretty nice. Very bright sounding.

If you are looking for raw drivers, I like my crescendo PWX6.5s. Not quite as bright as the crossfires, but they have a very warm sound to them. Only issue is that you can't mount them in a baffle more than 1/2" thick without converting to direct leads lol

I find it funny that they never measured the terminals on the PWX6.5s or really even looked to see if they stuck out further. But that's nice to know that they will mount in a 1/2" baffle, that is what I plan on using. I am hoping the 6.5 and the FT1 will fit in my stock 6x9 spot.

Pull the trigger man. If you are fine with the price tag then you will not be disappointed. Just make sure the install is up to par and your door is well deadened, those mids can throw some serious midbass and bass
