ALPINE408 Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Btw, idk what others think of the triangle back there, but i think it helps out in directing the airflow. ive tested it many ways a tringale with a pointed top actully hurt scores from my testing but one with a flat top helped /T\ looks like that also you can't think of sub airflow like how water would flow a sub pushes back and forth really fast its more like its shaking the shit out of the air Have you ever had your woofers blown?

Your port centerline length is drawn all the way to the front of the box. I don't know how else to say this. The 4.5" radius port mouth is not all port LENGTH. Only half of it - that's 2.25". See where the port centerline starts in my drawing? Also, when the port bends or "tees" each direction, it's width is cut in half. See my drawing - after the bend each side is only 2.25" wide. The port length has to be 26" total whether turning to the right or left. See on mine how it's 19.875" main length + 6.125" to the right? It's also 6.125" to the left. Remember the port width is cut in half at the turn, but you need 26" of full 4.5"wide port. Maybe someone else can explain it better or speak up if mine is incorrect... I'm just trying to help. Alright, if Orion can do a 143 or something like that on 1 12 on a 3500, that I can atleast get that with 2 10's on a 4500. Think Ken also did XL10's or lvl5's but could remember what he hit with those. he had XL 10s on a 5k and did low 40s. (but sounded way louder ! car doesnt meter well) the dd 10s i had on 3k doing 144s on music. and 44.4 burp... never metered it with 2 3ks before i changed it all up, but was wayy louder. i miss loud 10s, kind of feel like buiding that again !
