Quiet
HIDs make for much better visibility. It's a safety thing. IMO blue and especially purple are cheesy. I like how crisp 4500k looks though. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.

hdorre
I have 5000k HIDs, and am NEVER going back to halogens.. thats a promise lol My advice would just be to stay away from DDM Tuning. After having a set of mismatched bulbs, bad ballast, and one of the bulbs go bad (all within 3 months).. I said fuck it and went with XenonDepot. I havent had a single problem since On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
cubs_fan0718
I've always liked Sylvania Silverstar/Silverstar Ultra, and ive bought the new Xenon Bulbs and so far im liking them. might not be as good as HID's or other expensive bulbs but these are good bulbs IMO that wont break the bank. 06 Impala SSKenwood Excelon DDX593 Ampere Audio 150.4 Ampere Audio 5K1 XS D4700 (front)Mechman 320a Alt. w/ Big 3 Lots of Second Skin Damplifier Under Construction for 2017
Quiet
^true... stay away from hi K rated incandescents. The tint lowers your light output unless you opt for 65w or 100w then you risk melting your headlamp assemblies. IIRC Grand Ma assemblies aren't that big to handle the heat. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. SLAYER1805
I've heard HID's have less visibility in rain than regular bulbs, have you guys experienced this?
Quiet
LOL no. When I sold cars and I'd need to drive off-lot at night or in the rain I always took a MKX or Navi with HIDs. Rain sucks for any headlights tho. edit: I remember now, the MKX had headlights that steered with the wheel. Still bright as fuck though. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud. Rain sucks for any headlights tho. Damn, I may need to keep that in mind. My headlights are really faint and I've only had them for like a year. I wanna get HIDs, but I think they'd look weird on a Jeep Cherokee haha
