I'm running a kicker zxs1500.1 pushing two L7 12s....mistake number one, I know. My problem is I was playing at around 3/4 volume the other day and my subs got drastically quiter. I'm stuck. I can provide any other needed info I just don't know what to include. Thanks in advance guys.

have you checked all the obvious? like the fuses on the amp and in your amp wiring? and your sure they haven't just completely just turned off but they are just "quieter"?

i guess you could of also accidentaly have knocked some leads off your voice coils and only be running one of the two or something. :P

I checked all my fuses and everything is good. I pulled both subs out of the box and confirmed they are working individually. @shankkilla420 could you elaborate?

If you have a dmm, check the impedance of each coil to make sure they're ok. Also, push down on the cones and see if you can feel any scratching or rubbing.

I have a question bro.

if the reading of the impedance is way too high does that mean the coils are touching the magnets?

Will do. Do you think it could be a problem with the preamp on my head unit? The reason I ask is because I have also recently had some issues with the screen. It's a kenwood ddx 418. Just a theory I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before I start checking everything.
