Truconcept Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 Hi! im getting excited and getting my list together for my early 2013 build my planned budget and ideas went out the window since joining this forum but im not going all out (i wish $) if anyone is going to have some of these items forsale or could have them ill be looking right after the newyear without having a vs opinion id love any advice on my selections or personal preference with the same budget my wishlist (1) fi sp418 on (1) soundstream dtr3400 @ 1ohm (4) pwx 6.5 crescendo mids on (1) rockford fosgate punch 300-2 (4) rockford fosgate P1T-S tweeters (2 sets) on rockford fosgate punch 200-2 (1) kenwood kdc-hd552u (1) kinetik hc1200 (1) second skin damplifier bulk pack 40sq 50 ft. 1/0 Temco welding cable (285 amps/600 volts) i have a yellow optima which will go under the hood id appreciate any electrical advice with my picks the setup will most likely go in a 2001 dodge durango i understand i might need to upgrade the alternator ill look into that when im sure which vehicle the stuffs goin in Im gonna end up spending around $2000 before box build costs **actin bad like a kid at six flags**

ds1919 Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 about the batts: I've heard in the past that the Decca batts dont givee as much instantaneous juice as the XS or kinetic. Just what I heard, never tested or confirmed though. You might want to check it out.... Also, another poster who knew about batts recommended NOT to use both AGM and acid batts togehter because of their "standing" current/voltage differences. One battery will draw from the other because the other has a higher standing voltage....I dont remember which batt type has the higher. Miight want to look into that too, or get both AGM batts for the main and amps. hth
