The picture you have isn't quite accurate. You need to have the l-port piece 45'd too in order to maintain the same port width the port drops to below desired width where that 45 is. I think TeamAlpine on here has done much research with 45s and no 45s and it DID hurt SPL score in some instances.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

I never understood the point....I guess it would make sense if there was a fan inverted into the speaker cutout and the airflow was flowing in one direction...but it isn't. It is moving back and forth constantly, simultaneously, and very harshly. Just my $0.02

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Or why a 45 is only placed on one side. If it made that much of a difference, wouldn't having an equal angle on the parallel piece make it functional? Shit, wish I wasn't so busy I could do some tests and post results. Maybe someone will.

You are very right! I would 45 the port's corner, the port itself (if I did an L port) and the opposite corner of the port's. This picture is borrowed from google just to show you what I mean. I am not quite sure all the time I make myself clear enough because of the difference in language.

So most people believe that there in no point on doing it. okay. :)
