bassthathurts Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 If you have a junkyard close by you may be in luck with the absolute cheapest 0 gauge you will ever buy. If the junkyard allows pick and pull then go find a car that comes stock with a battery in the rear. Perferably mercedes or bmw, cut the terminal off the positive wire. It runs up to the passenger side floor board to a distribution block. Remove the wire from the block and pull the wire through. At my local junkyard they have a flat rate of $11 for however much wire you want. They were kinda shocked when i walked up there with 3 12 foot peices of 0 gauge that weighed a ton. But with the $2 entrance fee and $11 for the wire i spent all of $13 for over 30 ft of 0 gauge. If your junkyard wighs the wire you may be in a little bit of trouble with the price. Stand count just translates to flexibility of the write. I know, I as just wondering, heck cheap cable is cheap cable. Its heavy and hard to work with, But not impossible. Il take a pain in the neck over a pain in the wallet anyday. Im glad everyone likes the idea and i hope it helps
