Nothing big, just thought I'd share the floating voltage on my XP950's.

Battery #1, sitting for 12 hours off the charger. 13.18v

I ordered the second 2 XP950's but it's gonna be a couple weeks before they get here. Jon had one, but the second has to be ordered. I'm in no rush, I'm not going to be at that point for a while. Things are coming together.

I have a couple meetings tonight for some tool sales, and if those go through I'll be buying my RCA stuff tomorrow as well. Did I mention I'm going to be building my own RCA's folks? I have some twisted pair that I need to build this week, or soon anyway, so I'll do a tutorial on those. I'm going ot be doing some coax for my stuff later down the road, so I'll do a second tutorial on those as well.

Stay tuned folks, gonna start getting real up in here very very soon!

So I was never able to get to the RCA's guys, my apologizes!! But today I did something that is going to be very beneficial to my build. I cleaned out half the shop and built one of two large workbenches! Here are the pics. Not much to explain, I think they're pretty self explanatory. Have some questions just ask! Here we go!

Not a great pic, not even a bad pic it's terrible, but half of it is carpeted. Why carpet? For a couple of reasons. I won't be doing much cutting or sanding etc on this bench. I will have a drill press on it, but other than that, this will be for wiring panels, soldering, and stuff like that. It's much easier to find screws, and keep screws in one place etc, when working on things like that as well. How do I clean it? Shop vac or a handy vac. Pretty simple.

Round over came out well. Another little detail. A squared off corner gets hard on the forearms when working for a while.

And I was really happy with the seam!

Next it was time to put my new toy together, and then put the tools away! Well mostly away. Can't put it all away until I get the other side done. Alot of it is going to go over there, and I have plans for the rest too.

Bam! Aside of the horrible amounts of grease that was on it in the packaging, I mean really is that necessary!! It's not bad. I can hardly wait to use it! I have a band saw in my sights too. Don't need anything huge, just a little something to do little stuff with!

Threw a couple pieces of ply on the wall so I could keep my straight edges, levels, t squares etc. Simple and effective!

Tool time!

So that's about it. I have big plans, for the other side. I want to build another bench, just can't have too many benches. But what I want to really do, and I'm going to work on the design now, is make a part of the bench that's removable on wheels. It will house my router table, and my table saw. Maybe have them housed in a cabinet under the table. But be able to wheel it out, and if I need a table outside, then I'll have a cover to go over it so I can just use it as a table to build a box, or do some glass work, or anything else on.

Also need to build shelves over the workbenches, so I have more shelving, and also so I can put lights under them so I have plenty of lighting on the workbench areas.

Big plans for this shop. But this is all going to help me in the future for this build and any other builds I may have in the future.

More to come, Thanks for checking it out.

No thanks bro. Not into it.

That's gonna be a little tricky. I have some plans but yes I need light in there badly. I need to get a couple 4' florescent for now, but I plan on putting single tube florescent lights under some over head shelves so they light up the workbenches really well also. There is also going to be a ceiling fan so I can circulate the air. I have other plans too, but none is going to be happening too soon. The house projects take priority over the shop projects. Happy wife, happy life remember! LMAO!

I have big plans, they'll take shape very soon.

Nice work on that bench! Extremely jealous....

I'm either on my driveway or on my makeshift table (leftover MDF on a few sawhorses). :(
