scooter99 Posted February 20, 2014 Author Report Posted February 20, 2014 Yeah that's very true. I'll have to start up some research as the next few weeks move along. If I do this I want to make sure I have the best of the best parts. I don't need a real complex management system, like I said. I just want a nice ride, hold the weight in back, and be able to move both fronts, both rears, or all 4 at the same time. So I'll look into it. I know a few guys have said something about hydraulics too. Something about a 2 pump something something system. Will be interesting to find out what information is out there. scooter99 Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 Well after a little research, bags may be out of the question. It's like $5500 for everything. That doesn't include any fittings, or wire, or bracketry, or anything like that. It's 2300.00 just for the bags. Sigh! Oh well. Guess I'll start looking into replacement coilovers. RossGo Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 Email a company that doesn't make a set for your generation civic, and ask to be a test fitter. They design them on another car, but have you do a full write up and install for them with pictures (which we know you are good at) I did that on my last car and saved around $2500 Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. I build for Smiles Per Gallon not Miles Per Gallon LOLZ My build - 1996 4Runner with 2 18s - 149+ in a sealed box (with radiators)
hdorre Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 Have you thought of using your current coil overs to do an air setup? Thats pretty popular. Im guessing your coil overs have camber, base height, and dampening adjustments? scooter99 Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 I have thought about that. But, my concern is, if they're breaking down which it feels like they are, then won't that defeat the purpose of using them, because they'd have to be rebuilt anyway. That cost is about $150 per corner. Last time I had an issue that was the cost anyway. I'll look into all options. I wouldn't mind being a guinea pig for a company, but how do I locate one? I don't know anything about the air side of things. I know this though, there aren't many companies out there that do bags for this generation civic. The ones that do are astronomically priced. I'd love to help develop a system that is reasonably priced for these generation civics. Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
