Great idea, I was thinking something similar but I'd be worried that permanent dye would affect the conductivity of the surface it's applied to....?

Then I'll just leave this here to let you guys ponder over this for a while. Maybe I can get some work done on it this week.

Hmm, custom battery tray maybe? Or second front batt? I'm actually getting ready to do the same thing, well, bussbars.

As for the terminals, another idea is to use a butterfly bit and a bunch of lube. Nt sure if it w/ work, but maybe. Alum is soft.

But the router idea worked just fine. Keep up the good work!

:peepwall:

I thought about the butterfly bit, cause I have about 3 dozen of them, none sharp anymore I'm sure, bit I was afraid of using it. Could prove to be a bad thing. My guess is it would just bounce around on the top of the material cause it takes large shaving at one time. I may try it out with a new sharper bit though. At least on the drill press maybe it will not be so bad.

Hmmmmmmmmm.......He has the corners well thought out... hmmmmmmmm

Your skills piss me off Scott....

And your speed......

Ticks me off.....

What angles are you talking about buddy? I'm not speedy at all my friend. Haven't you been watching!?! I don't have one single project done and I'm nuts deep into 3 different ones at a time right now. No I'm probably moving slower than I should be. But thanks!
