Wicks Posted November 11, 2013 Report Posted November 11, 2013 I saw similar issues with my brazing. It's tough. Did you get the aluminum super hot and then remove the torch and apply the brazing rod? You need to do it very similar to soldering, with the heat removed so the base material melts and adheres the brazing rod and not the torch. scooter99 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Report Posted November 11, 2013 I can't freaking WAIT to see the box building. Btw, I've not commented lately but your work is: DAMMMMNNNN! I love the look of your amps and you're very clever and innovative with your vehicle. I fucking love it. Keep on at it, I'm watching Thanks man. I appreciate that. Definitely more to come. After the battery racks go in, and the floor, I'll get the actuator in and I'll be ready to tackle the enclosure. I saw similar issues with my brazing. It's tough. You need to do it very similar to soldering, with the heat removed so the base material melts and adheres the brazing rod and not the torch. I thought I had it hot enough, and took the torch away and it didn't seem to be hot enough. I thought I saw it getting an orange hue to it, but I must have been looking at the reflection of the flame. I don't know. But now that I know I don't "need" it to be the aluminum frames, I'm fine. I'll go the other route. Thanks! Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
scooter99 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Report Posted November 11, 2013 i love it totally love this build another stanced out ride getting it done. i feel like i am not the only stanced out ride that is a basshead lol Thanks for the compliments! You asked via pm about my wheels. They're TSW Mallory's 18 x 8 in matte black, and Falken ZIEXze912 tires; 215/35zr18's. I'm also on Buddy Club Spec N+ Coilovers. I'm sitting about 4" off the ground and I'm about as straight cambered as it gets. I didn't want to blow through tires with the angled camber. I also rolled my front and rear fenders so I have zero rubbing. Buddy club Rear camber arms. Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build

scooter99 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Report Posted November 11, 2013 Yeah I'm finding right now I'm wearing bad in front. Not inside or out, but just the whole tire. I need to rotate and put the back on the front. When I need new again, I'll be going back up to 40's. It's a pretty rough ride on 35's. Some wouldn't think that one tire size would make much difference, but when you're already on different suspension, it make a world of difference. I have to go get realigned too. It's been a while. But those sound like pretty close numbers to what I was running last time. I have to find a shop around me now, I have the lifetime Firestone alignment, that has the in ground lift. We moved across the city, and the ones that have the above ground lift, my car won't fit on I've really neglected my baby. I need to get her back to looking pristine again! scooter99 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Report Posted November 12, 2013 Thanks. Yeah I'm finding them to be really handy. Not sure if I can be much help but if you have questions feel free to ask. That's what these builds are all about. People getting ideas, and getting help. Thanks for the kind words. I didn't get as much done yesterday as I wanted too. I'll be out working tonight. Going ot get the floor template drawn out and hopefully get it ready to put on wood. Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
