Much needed answers!

I'm looking at getting a Kinetik HC2000 for my 94 Dodge dakota because I am having voltage drop at idle, I'm fine at speed but parked or at a red light im dropping and am trying to solve the problem. I've looked between a Rockford 2 Farad Cap or a straight battery swap with this battery and have a few questions. But first, I am a high school student and cant afford a high out put alt for one because I straight cant afford it with my job and 2nd because I'm not willing to spend the money on a temporary car. I've read this battery should help and also that it wont do anything with the alternator to go with it. I have the big 3 done which didnt seem to do much, so will this help? Also, can i straight swap with this battery? Will it crank the truck and do everything the normal battery will without damaging or anything? Last, If for some reason this wont work, im getting the 2 farad cap, will that help? Thanks

Caps a no no and you shouldn't be wanging at a light if you don't have the electrical to back it up. How low does your voltage drop?

Well, idle isn't the best place to try cranking it anyways. A better question is what are you powering?

A very good battery up front and the big 3 should be good for most small daily setups. What wires did you use and what did you actually upgrade?

It should work just fine. Not sure about starting the car tho I think that depends on CCA.

Might even be better to add the kinetic to the rear and have 2 batts

Im powering a rockford 750.1 with a 910 watt birthsheet at one ohm and a focal solid 4(75x4) and im upgrading to a rockford t1000cp which is around 1500RMS and will be run at 2 ohms, pushing a fi bl 12 as well as the focal amp! I want to get this battery but am not sure if it will even show any difference! And I know its not good to run at idle very loud, but it happens sometimes

The battery is 1500 CCA, my current one is like 750 i believe, so will it be okay to over power it?

caps can be helpful in the right situations but realize we are talking a quality cap not a cheap fifty dollar one that tells you your voltage those are almost useless....swapping to a higher quality battery would help but i wouldnt reccomend using a kinetic for your main battery they tend to lose there cranking amperage after time. id reccomend an xs power battery....it would also help if we had more info about your system then we can tell you what youll really need to help with your voltage drop

saw your equipment. id get a decent sized xs power battery up front and do the big three and i think you will be perfectly fine

get that kinetik and run it as a 2nd battery....thats what i have and it works great

I'm gonna follow what you say on this, so would a XS D3400 be better? My current battery is 700 CCA and this one is 1000, so i should be good there, and it says its good for systems between 2500-3500 watts.. im soon to be getting a rockford t1000b-cp which is usually around 1500rms and push an FI BL 12. Thanks!
