Herokight Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 My cousin is wanting some beat in her new car when she gets it. Either gonna be a '12 or '13 Civic. It has to stay in the trunk and can't be too ridiculous because she has a little kid. I started compiling something to put in for her. Is it too much? All Fosgate: P1000X5D 5 channel 2 T1 6.5 2 way coax sets 2 P1S4-12 Audio Technix 4awg ofc amplifier kit + 10awg ofc for subs. Ported box built by me What do you guys think? Enough beat for a newbie? Lane AKA HeroKight '96 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 R.I.P. Molliboo $200 for new tires, on a jeep!? Is she stealing them or building them with a heat gun and rubber bands? You hear that????That's a category 5 shit storm coming n8: hey you doing today. What's it like being a bitch? you can pm me if you'd like to explain why you arent one. Just like you did for your vs threads. ^^^Rules. Follow them.^^^
97Jetta1637 Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 save money and use cca. there wont be a audible difference at all since it's for daily intent. and why s4? that'd put you at 2 ohms unless that's what the amp is stable at. #teamihop Two 12 inch DC XL's Carbon Fiber Cap Stetsom 7k Shell of box / baffle built by me Port / sealing the box by John Hone Fuck midrange Alpine-9886 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/177428-97jettas-sql-trunk-wall-loudest-99-buick-century-custom-with-a-one-legged-owner/ price has no influence on how something sounds I told him to move the fucking port. they see me hoppin they stoppin they can't believe im so white and dirty It looks like you got so drunk, that someone came up and stole your leg.
audiA6_audio Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 sounds pretty good for a "virgin" better than just adding on a sub to stock mids. tuned in just in case she goes for it. oh and anytime a female gets into the audio scene its a +.
Herokight Posted December 7, 2012 Author Report Posted December 7, 2012 Yeah that's what it's stable at. The coax's would be getting 75w each and subs would get 250w each. Yeah I was wondering about that. She's not so into audio, so it's not like it would bother her. Long as it makes noise and sounds good. I figured it wouldn't be too big of a deal for the battery to be replaced either since it'd only be 800wrms. So not too much for a newbie that just wants something good and loud? Her husband is convinced the new cars come with sufficient audio. Bose systems and such. I hope she does. I need a car to work on. What's a good box size? 3-4cuft around 32hz with 40-50sqin of port? audiA6_audio Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 ive got mixed feelings about the high end stock systems. my car came with the bose symphony and it was awesome, clear loud and responsive only downside... im kinda a bass head. had to throw a couple 12s in pronto. what you listed looks like a decent set up. and you probably wont need to upgrade much. i do the big 3 on a vehicle asap just to make sure im not completely stock. on a newer car like that it may be a little more difficult to work with with harnesses and such. if you can id do the big 3 and see where that leaves you. for a single 12, 3-4 is optimal as most specs will tell you. you would be fine with the specs you listed. your not pushing a whole lot of power to it so even if you stayed at 3 itd give her more trunk to use.
Trey_Dog650 Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 Depending on the music she listens too I'd tune a little higher. Like 35 or so 13 Kia Forte Build! 07 Hyundai Accent Build ***Super Seller*** N8ball2013 And then he gets to say ok all you guys were right. im sorry for being a dummy poo poo head.

Depending on the music she listens too I'd tune a little higher. Like 35 or so Mainly rap. It's gonna be a little bit, but I'll post up a log if she has me put a system in. I hope she does. I'm missin' working on cars. Big 3 was definitely a plan. This mainly got brought up because I told her what I wanna do to my next car (if I get the one I really want, probably even if I don't). After that she started asking questions about how much it'd cost me and then if a good system could be done for under $1k. I said sure and started putting checking some stuff out for her. wmrcs Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 I never "ease" noobs in. Give them the best shit for their budget and they can decide if and when they want to upgrade. Get them an LC-1 and they can control their bass. If it's always pinned, they'll want to upgrade. E34 540iT/6
