jhmeg2 Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 I'd say, if she has kids, and is married, then space might be needed for kid stuff, groceries, what ever. And if shes not to into it, maybe only a single 10 ported. 10s are still loud. ////Alpine, Eclipse, Load Boss, Pheonix Gold, MB Quart,Digital Desings, Memphis, Stinger, Periphial, MTX, Visualogic

And if shes not to into it, maybe only a single 10 ported. 10s are still loud. I was thinking about that. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible, that's why I picked a 5 channel. One power wire, one ground wire, everything plugs into one amp. Hmmm... Guess we'll see what happens when she gets the car. The Civic she has now seems like It has a shit ton of trunk. Does anyone know how the newer ones are looking? Wait a sec... I'll just google. Lane AKA HeroKight '96 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 R.I.P. Molliboo $200 for new tires, on a jeep!? Herokight Posted December 7, 2012 Author Report Posted December 7, 2012 Ah... The newer trunks have convenient recessed sides... Sub in the side, sealed fiberglass enclosure? I know ported would be louder, but my sealed setup in my last car banged pretty good. And it would save room... Lane AKA HeroKight '96 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 R.I.P. Herokight Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 8 inch woofer on small amp in a T-line... Minimal space needed... GREAT output I didn't consider a t-line... I might just be able to pull that off if someone can help me design a box. That actually works out perfect because RF makes a s4 8" that takes 200 rms. That's what the sub channel puts out a 4ohms. Simplified, yet loud. That's typically what I would define as a good beginner system. I'm really about brand matching if you haven't noticed. If she wanted something more serious I'd probably not be so bad about matching it, but my first legit system was all Fosgate and I loved it as an audiophile.
