Crunch PZA2000.1?

Well I saw this amp on Sonicelectronix for $99 and decided to take a look.

It's got 4 30 amp fuses which means 1728 watts? Correct me if I'm wrong of course. 1700 watts would work well for the system rebuild I'm finally getting around to.

You might see 1200 watts at most outta that amp. I'd stay away from it and get a quality 2k amp.

It's a 1000W RMS amp.

You wouldn't hear a difference between 1000W and 1700W, but i'd suggest you'd go with a better amp.(buy atleast hifonics BRZ)

I would call Maxxsonics first about the true output. I know when I talked to one of the tech's he told me the lower line stuff is all max rating not rms. For instance he told me that the Hifonics zrx500.2 only puts out around 230 rms brigded. Sonic has this listed as 500 rms. As f]or the Crunch using 120 amps worth of fuses so does the new Hifonics Gladiator which is 1000 rms.

That amp can probably do 800w rms on a good day.

The fact that it's on sonic (legit site, my personal fav) and yet:

Its a problem amp, id stay away, when i turn it off i hear a sqeeling sound from it,

after like a month i had it at 2 ohm and it caught on fire ,but it still worked lol.

And sometimes this amp would just go into protect mode the sec i turned it on,.

Are you talking actual RMS from any amp? I'm pretty sure I would notice a difference from a 1000w rms and 1700w rms amp. Depending on the drivers the amp is powering of course.

Seconded on the hifonics. They are made by the same company. I still wouldn't personally run hifonics unless the price was really good. They aren't bad, but aren't the best either. With a warranty from frys, they are actually a pretty good choice. Used, not so much.

Also, my rockford P500-2 amp which does 500w rms bridged had 4awg inputs. was not 2 ohm bridged stable. This amp is rated for 2000w max, 1 ohm stable, and has 4awg inputs. HMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Ive installed one that one of my friends dad gave him.

It all depends what subs you are running. This can push a couple of 400rms subs no problem and have them hitting but by no means use this for powerful subs. I dont like the crossovers too much but it does put out a good 700-900rms.
